Christ teaches his disciples that they are no longer slaves, but friends of His and are to love others as He’s loved them.  This is a commandment we should all follow, knowing that in doing so, we will be at odds with the world.  The world only celebrates those who live as the world lives.   We follow a greater purpose than anything the world can offer.
