Make Ready the Way of the Lord – Dec. 29th 2024

When John began his ministry, he was baptizing his followers in a preparation for the coming Messiah.   He was teaching them some of the same lessons that Christ would teach, but John ensured that he was not considered the Messiah and that he was the one that the scriptures foretold would be a 'voice calling in the wilderness'.   We must all be like John when we are telling others about Christ and make sure we lift Him to a higher pedestal than ourselves.
